Deploy multiple sensors on each production line to automatically assign downtime incidents to specific line components.
Essembi's Differentiated Sensor Deployment
Rather than deploying one sensor at the end of the line like other OEE platforms, Essembi drives maximum automation by adding a sensor after each major component.

The sensors will work in tandem to determine which component should be assigned downtime incidents using configuration options in Essembi.
Hands Off Operation
Sensors automatically identify which component is causing production issues without requiring operator input or missing downtime assignments.
Improved Uptime
Address issues faster with precise component identification, reducing downtime, and increasing productivity.
Data-Driven Decisions
Collect accurate data on component performance to identify recurring issues and prioritize maintenance and capital expenditures.
Frequently asked questions about Essembi's architecture.
Collapsible content
Do you recommend any brands for hardware?
For sensors, we typically like to leverage Banner or OMRON brands but we are flexible in the devices if your team has a preference.
For PLC and edge devices, we have a variety of brands we may recommend based on specific use cases.
Can we use existing hardware?
Essembi can likely connect with existing hardware at your facility including PLCs, edge computing devices, and sensors. Setup a meeting with our team to confirm.
Is the hardware FDA compliant and manufacturing safe?
Our default is selecting sensors that are FDA compliant and work in sensitive environments such as areas where wash downs or chemical exposures may occur.
How do you handle bulk production for process manufacturers where sensors may not be an option for data capture?
Bulk production is still valuable to evaluate OEE metrics on. But the data capture needs to be different than the data capture via sensors that is typically deployed on packaging lines.
Essembi's solution has mobile and scanner based data capture solutions to streamline the entry of OEE data for bulk production areas.
Do we need a hardware expert on our team?
Essembi will deploy the hardware for your team during the initial roll out process.
Is there a limitation on line speed for Essembi to capture real-time production data?
Nope - we have not seen any limitations!
