  • Branding: Make the Customer Portal fit match your brand by adding your logo, banner image and company-specific subdomain.
  • View-Level Data Security: Customize what data customers are allowed to see in individual views in the Customer Portal - their own data, data curated by your team or all data. Manage this through the simple view customization tools in the Customer Portal setup in the main Essembi app.
  • Record-Level Data Security: Mark individual records throughout the app as public or private to control customer access to the data within the Customer Portal. Use filters to easily report on what records have been marked as public.
  • Customer Access Controls: For public and user specific views in the Customer Portal, customers must login to access the view or submit new records. All security for customers is managed via SSO with Google or Microsoft
  • Publishing Views: Design views and forms specifically for your customers and use the Customer Portal setup to configure exactly what customers will see. Establish view level security for each view added to the portal.
  • Data Entry Forms: Allow customers to create or edit records with custom forms for easy data submission. For example, slim down the ticket entry form to a simple issue summary and description field to make data entry easy for customers. The description field is a long-text field in Essembi which enables customers to add screenshots, format steps to recreate issues, add files and insert links.
  • Light and Dark Mode: Customers can select if they run the Customer Portal in light or dark mode.

Essembi's Customer Portal is completely free. The users that access private records do not count towards your overall seat count in Essembi.

For New Customers

New customers will have default Customer Portal views available for immediate deployment. Simply:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Customer Portal.
  2. Enable the customer portal using the "Enable Customer Portal" option and set a sub-domain name.
  3. Optionally deploy custom branding in a logo (300px x 300px) or a banner (1500px x 150px).
  4. Select the launch button.

The portal URL can be added directly to your website for customers and users to begin accessing. Here is a link to get started for free for up to 5 users.

For Existing Customers

Existing customers will not have default views deployed in the Customer Portal due to customization that may have been done by teams.

Instead, existing teams have one additional step to complete to quickly stand up their own Customer Portal:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Customer Portal.
  2. Enable the customer portal using the "Enable Customer Portal" option and set a sub-domain name.
  3. Optionally deploy custom branding in a logo (300px x 300px) or a banner (1500px x 150px).
  4. Select views to be deployed for the Customer Portal along with the forms and data security that will be used for the portal.
  5. Select the launch button.
